Mother’s Day is coming up SO soon! The months have been flying by. I cannot believe I already made my Mom’s Mother’s Day card. Trust me, I have never been this prepared for anything.

I just love these flowers by Lisa Hetrick! The images are part of her newest stamp set with Gina K. Designs, Hello Beautiful. The greeting is part of my own stamp set with Gina K., Lettered and Lovely. This is just such a sweet greeting. ❤

While I was at it, I made a Thank You card using my Lettered and Lovely set. Both cards have the exact same layout, just different greetings. I used In The Navy card stock for the card base, and I used In The Navy ink for the greeting and some of the flowers. The card front was cut from Canson watercolor card stock. I wanted to add a little shine and dimension to the card, so I made sure to stamp the navy flowers and greeting using the MISTI so I could re-stamp them with Versamark ink and heat emboss them in clear. I love that technique. It makes it super easy to add shine to any image on a card. Unfortunately, my Versamark ink pad is now stained navy. Clean your stamp in between uses, folks.

I heat embossed in rose gold a tiny heart after each of the greetings. Because it is cute. And rose gold.

Of course, I can’t get away from my peachy pinks. The other flowers I stamped in Peach Bellini, Innocent Pink, and Dusty Rose. They pair BEAUTIFULLY with navy.

I happened to have some Rose Gold Finetec, so I obviously had to use it on this card. I added some for detail on the little pink flowers, and I did a larger wash on the large navy flowers. The card looked a little skimpy, so I added some dots with the Rose Gold Finetec. Just a warning, it is very hard to have any form of self control when adding dots.

Thanks so much for stopping by! The products I used are listed below.

  1. I love this card! The combinations of the two colors is just stunning. Both yours and Lisa’s stamp sets are wonderful and must be added to my collection.
